Panerai Radiomir PAM268 – £5250 (sold)

I have for sale my absolutely gorgeous Radiomir PAM268 from 2008, in fantastic condition and complete with all boxes and papers. This is effectively the Radiomir equivalent of the Luminor 233 (with Panerai’s own 8-day, hand wound three-barrelled movement) but without the GMT function.

I can’t stress enough what a quality piece this is. The wire lugs make it very wearable despite its 45mm case (I’ve happily worn it on a 6.75″ wrist) and it manages quite easily to bridge the gap between sporty and dressy. In fact, on the black “OEM” alligator strap it wears as a rule it’s one of my smarter watches; it will come with that one and a selection of 3 Bob/Panatime straps that in total cost me a fair amount of money.

Condition is close to mint; I’ve checked the case, bezel and crystal under a loupe and can barely see a mark on it, and the only thing worthy of mention is that there are a couple of tiny hairlines on the back adjacent to the lug screws (not worth bothering about as they really are small and you can’t see them anyway).

Breitling Navitimer 806 – £2500 (sold)

For sale is the most gorgeous Navitimer (from 1966) that I’ve seen, a view shared by many who’ve seen it at various GTGs. It has a rosy hue that gives it a unique look and runs beautifully having been services by Brendan Hoey less than a year ago. Overall it’s in fantastic condition, bearing just light evidence of it’s age with no dinks and no blemishes worthy of mention. This one comes on a brown Breitling leather, and with service paperwork and a period Breitling box. There’s an incoming write-up on my blog here.

Virtually NOS Heuer Autavia GMT 11630 – £5000 (sold)

This is a very rare opportunity to acquire possibly the best Heuer Autavia GMT 11630 that will ever come to the market. The watch (dating from the mid to late 70’s) was sold as fully-serviced NOS by Abel Court in December 2012, since which time it has remained almost unworn. It is in truly wonderful condition, with no discernable marks and a dial that looks like it left the factory yesterday, rather than decades ago. It truly is an outstanding, time-capsule example of one of Heuer’s finest ever watches. It comes head only but with a lug-width of 20mm will take an infinite variety of straps in addition to the correct vintage GF bracelets.

Rolex 18k 116138 Datejust, on OEM alligator strap and 18k deployant – £6950 (sold)

This beautiful watch is from 2006 and is in mint condition having been serviced, re-sealed and tested by Duncan Potter at Genesis Watchmaking in September of last year; there are just a couple of hairlines barely worthy of mention such as you’d get the moment you started wearing it. It also sports the very hard to find tuxedo dial, which I think looks magnificent. It comes with an additional brown alligator OEM strap, the boxes, the booklets and the service documentation and it looks absolutely fantastic on the wrist.

Rolex “McQueen” Explorer II 1655 – £14,000 (sold)

Here’s a very rare opportunity to grab a beautiful 1655 McQueen/Freccione Explorer showing just light signs of wear, with the fullest set you’ll ever find (including the original sales receipt ) and with provenance from the venerable Mike Wood to boot. The case has been polished but is still in great shape with nice sharp Rolex bevels, and you’ll see from the photos below that both the dial and the handset are in fantastic condition. All numbers are clearly visible, as you’d expect.

An 8.09m serial with Mk 5 dial and Mk IV bezel, it comes with:

IWC Mark XII – £2,250 (sold)

For sale is a watch that I spent about a year searching for – an all-original IWC Mark XII from 1998 housing the wonderful modified Jaeger LeCoultre calibre 889/2 movement. Even better, this one was serviced by IWC in late 2010 and keeps time to within about a second per day. Even better still is that – unlike the majority of Mark XII’s that IWC get their hands on – there was no dial & hands change. Both are original and tritium, and both have aged absolutely beautifully and are a perfect creamy match.

There is something of a write-up here, and in terms of condition there are a couple of hairlines on the case and the tiniest of pinpricks on the crystal (so small that I’ve not been able to photograph it successfully). Essentially, it’s a beautiful, very clean example of one of the greatest military watches ever to have been made, meauring 36mm without crown and comes on the correct OEM leather strap with signed IWC buckle.

Rolex GMT Master 1675 – £8,250 (sold)

Without doubt one of the most beautiful gilt dialled GMTs I’ve seen, this 1.1m serial 1963 GMT (acquired from Jason Graham of Sweeping Hand) has the correct small GMT hand, pointed crown guards, IV 63 stamped inner case back and gilt dial. The dial on this watch is simply mesmerising – the gloss is deep and perfect with no colour loss or marks anywhere whilst the gilt writing is a striking gold and as sharp as it could be. The minute markers are all prefect and the hour plots have the most beautiful yellow tone to them. If it was not for the tiniest bit of trit loss at the bottom of the 6 marker I would describe it as absolutely perfect! The hands are the original gilt set with perfect matching tritium tone to the dial plots, and both the serial and model numbers are clear and readable between both sets of lugs.

The case on this watch is still fat, with zero corrosion. The lugs are thick with polished chamfer edges, and the pointed crown guards are nice and fat too (there are the usual light signs of wear to the polished case sides, consisting of light hairline scratches but nothing that would cause concern or require anything more than the lightest touch with a cape Cod). The plexi crystal is nice and clear and the friction bezel rotates smoothly in both directions as it should. The bracelet is a later one replaced at service but the correct GMT 78360 with 580 end pieces and in great condition and with a little stretch.

The watch was serviced in 2003 and again 2 years ago but whilst the inner case back bears the service marks I dont have the paperwork. It’s keeping good time though as you would expect and I can confirm that the movement itself is clean and free of any corrosion. It’s currently wearing an all black thick font insert as this compliments the dial so well, but the photos show how the look can be changed by switching inserts and/or bracelets and NATO straps.

This is a rare piece to find in this condition and it has been pampered for the last 25 years having been owned by the CEO of one of the worlds largest multi-nationals. It will be provided with a Green Stripe box set and can be sent tracked and fully insured worldwide.

Mint June 2012 Grand Seiko SBGR061, complete with box and stamped papers. It’s a fantastic watch (the fit and finish are just exceptional) and at 39.5mm without the crown it’s the perfect size for something dressy and modern. Comes with the OEM crocodile strap and GS deployant.
